Please join us for refreshments after these services in the Parish Church. We use mainly Fairtrade goods in Church.

Morning Prayer
Morning Prayer is now said informally at St Michael's every Friday at 9.30 a.m., using our Common Worship Daily Prayer books. All are welcome.
Evening Prayer
There is to be a service of Evening Prayer on the fourth Sunday of each month at 6 p.m in St Michael’s, commencing this month on 23 November.
Our churches are disability friendly and we have large print hymn books available on request.

Church Christmas Bazaar Saturday 29th November 10-12.00 noon in the Memorial Hall
Yes, it’s that time of year again! There will of course be all the usual stalls, tombolas and raffles. All contributions towards the event would be very welcome. Bottles of anything drinkable can be left with Mike and Mary at Hebaskva and items for the other tombola & toy stall can be left with Susan at 5, Shute Hill. All other items can be brought on the day, when Father Christmas will be in attendance. If you would like to help in any way please don’t hesitate to contact Susan on 250039 or Mary on 250726, with thanking you all in anticipation.
The Mawnan Harvest Church Harvest Appeal has raised £712.00 to date. Our next fundraiser for FOMO will be on 27th December at St Michael’s church from 10.30 – 12.30 when Margaret Bird will be holding a sponsored sing. Please sponsor her and support her on the day.
Mothers Union
Wednesday 12th November: Meeting in the Methodist Schoolroom at 2.30pm. Mrs Carolyn Martin will be giving us a talk and we will have a bring and buy stall.
Thursday 20th November: There will be a coffee morning at Hebaskva, Sampys Hill from 10-12 noon. Please come and bring a friend. There will be a raffle and contributions of toiletries for our stall at the Church Christmas Bazaar will be gratefully received.
Wednesday 26th November: MU Communion, St. Michael's at 10.00am.

Catholic Church
There will be no Mass on Sundays at St Edwards but there will be Mass every Thursday at 10am.


Remembrance Day – Tuesday 11th November –there will be a service at the Millenium Cross at 11am
Mawnan Parish Council - The next Parish Council meeting is on Thursday 20th November in the Memorial Hall – members of the public are welcome to attend.

Mawnan Garden Club
Thursday 27th November – AGM, followed by party! 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall.

The Mobile Library – The library van will call at the usual stops (full details on village notice board) on
Wed. 12th and Wed. 26th November. We look forward to seeing you there. My Home Library Service is ongoing, and if you know of anyone who could make use of this service, please do let me know. It is for people who have difficulty getting to the library or the library van (not necessarily Housebound). I call and collect your library books, go to the library and get books out for you, and then deliver them. My contact tel. no. is 250683 (Catherine).

Macmillan Cancer Support ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’
Many thanks to everyone who helped to make our Coffee Morning such a big success. So many people contributed either by helping on the day, attending or donating. Thanks also to the many local traders who very generously made donations. We made an incredible £1,580 for the Macmillan Charity. Trudy Stevens

Mawnan Art Club has recommenced. We meet on Thursdays from 2pm to 4pm in the Methodist Hall.

Mawnan Bowling Club - Autumn Fayre on Saturday November 8th from 10.00 until 12.00 in the village hall. Various stalls including homemade cakes, tombola, books, Christmas goodies and the ever popular target bowls. All Welcome.

Christmas Carousel for Save the Children – 10 am Saturday November 15th at the Memorial Hall. Everyone very welcome. Come and help us to raise money for this wonderful charity. Christmas Goods and Cards; Raffle; Home Produce; Hamper; Bric a Brac, Books etc. Contact Paula Fox 250655 for more details.

Mawnan Christmas Lights
A note for your calendar - the Lighting Up Ceremony will be on Friday 5th December this year and we look forward to seeing you there - more details to follow.

Mawnan Panto Group
Saturday 1st November – Coffee Morning in the Memorial Hall. 10am – 12noon.
Saturday 15th November – come along and see our new costume store underneath the Memorial Hall between
1 – 2pm. Free drinks and nibbles. All Welcome.
