The Parish of Mawnan includes the village of Mawnan Smith and the hamlets of
Penwarne, Helford Passage, Carlidnack, Bareppa, & Durgan.

It is situated approximately 3 miles south of the port of Falmouth on the south coast of Cornwall,
and is bounded on one side by the beautiful Helford River.

You can find out all about the parish, its origins, plans, amenities (beaches, footpaths, gardens, playing fields),
facilities, hotels, restaurants and services by clicking on the menu at the left hand side of the page.

The aim of the site is to answer everything a resident or visitor may want to know about the Parish.

Wine Tasting

You are invited to come to a wine tasting to raise funds for
Helford River Children's Sailing Trust.

There will be a talk and tasting of wines, followed by a blind tasting quiz.
After that there will be a two course supper with more wine.
The tickets cost £16.
Tickets can be bought locally (from Saturday) at The Post Office and
Hammer 'n Hoe in Mawnan Smith, or you can send me a cheque and I will happily post them out to you. If you wish to arrange seating with your friends please let me know.

Numbers are limited so to avoid disappointment, as they say, do book early.
