It is situated approximately 3 miles south of the port of Falmouth on the
south coast of Cornwall, and is bounded on one side by the beautiful Helford

A Sea Monster’s Tale,

The Basking Shark, the second largest fish in
the world, is a regular visitor to Cornish waters. Hunted to the point
of extinction it became the
focal point of a major conservation campaign
in the 1980s.
Yacht skipper and researcher
Colin Speedie spent many years at sea
conducting surveys of these magnificent
creatures and has now written a book
on the subject,
“A Sea Monster’s Tale – In Search of the Basking
He will be telling their story at the AGM.

(a day for exhibitors to bring their displays and a day for everyone
to come and view).
